I started working at Fuse during my senior year of high school. At the time I had already enrolled in a four year college and was plannig to major in Music. Fuse became family right away. After a semester at college, I realized my life was meant to take another path. I left college, came home and immediately enrolled in Cosmetology school. And I have never looked back. I feel at home with my family here at Fuse, and I have endless opportunities to express all my creativity. So it was because of Fuse Salon that I chose to do hair, and I am grateful my life lead me here.
Fuse Salon is not only a business, but a place for education, a place rooted in community service, a place where people come to feel better about themselves, a place exuding creativity, a place of friends and family and the place where I see my future. We are fortunate here to work beside and learn from a Redken International Colorist. She brings new and innovative ideas to the table, and endless opportunities to learn and grow. I am thankful that we also pride ourselves in giving back to the community. Nothing is more rewarding then raising money for The American Cancer Society and helping local organizations. It keeps you humble. At Fuse, we’re not just co-workers, we are family and that makes us different from most other work places.
On a personal level, I enjoy my job as a hair stylist, but I also love the ability to connect with my customers. Making people feel good is a great feeling, but knowing they can come to me with some of their biggest issues and feel better when they leave my chair is an even greater feeling. “Let no one ever come to you without leaving better and happier. Be the living expression of kindness: kindness in your face, kindness in your eyes, kindness in your smile.”- Mother Teresa. Those words are framed on my station and I do my best to live by them. Although I never finished my studies at a four-year university, music is still one of my passions in life. I love going to concerts and it’s quite possible you might find me humming a tune while I’m cutting hair! I am excitedly planning my wedding and am blessed with wonderful family and friends. Each day opens a new door, and I love that I am at Fuse to live out all my goals!
